Soldiers forced to relocate wedding for Obama's golfing

One couple wanted to get married, but President Obama wanted to play golf.

Army captains Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr. knew Obama was headed to Hawaii for the holidays, so on a whim, they extended him an invite to attend their Dec. 28 wedding — one he politely declined. That same day, they were informed they would have to move their wedding location.

The wedding was set to be at the 16th tee box at Kaneohe Kipper Golf Course on the Marine Corps Base in Hawaii — a favorite of both Mallue and Obama.

“It was kind of ironic they got the letter from them and then, within hours, they were told they had to be moved due to him,” Jamie McCarthy, Mallue’s sister, told Bloomberg Politics. “It was emotional, especially for her — she’s the bride and in less than 24 hours they had to change everything they had planned.”

You know, I just can’t understand how Obama only has a 15% approval rating among members of the armed forces.

  1. hey! don’t forget a Jane loves Denise wedding. if those had occurred the press coverage would have been outstanding as it is now only the Washington Examiner and Washington Times have covered this story

  2. My three year old knows how to wipe his own ass; meanwhile, the “smartest man ever to be President” has no idea of the concept.

You know, they used to parade on how well this shithead understood the concept of “optics”. All pretense is over- he just has no common decency.

  3. Little Kim with the bad haircut has it right, but to improve on his English he might use the term “mulatto jackanapes” next time.

  4. Granted that Obama is no gentleman, but the problem extends to all Presidents. As long as we treat the President as The Son Of Heaven whose health determines the fate of civilization-as-we-know-it there are going to be problems. The Secret Service has to be reined in. We don’t need a battalion sized security detail to visit Switzerland, complete with imported water.

  5. I hate to defend the waste of gravity, but can we rule out that this is a case of someone at the golf course sucking up to POTUS and that Barry had no idea his desire to play golf would disrupt a wedding?

  6. (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama personally apologized to a bride last weekend after discovering his golf plans had forced an Army couple to move the location of their wedding.
A source familiar with the incident said neither Obama nor White House staff were informed that the couple had been told to move their ceremony, rather the golf course manager made the decision unilaterally.
Obama personally called the bride to apologize for disrupting her wedding plans and offered his congratulations, the source said.

I guess I’m interrupting the narrative.
