Bring the HEAT
XBradTC's thoughts… deep thoughts.
You almost got me. I thought DeHav Hornet but then noticed the cruciform tail and how far the nacelles extend behind the trailing edge. A little googling and I found the answer.

Design altitude of 45,000 ft.!
That’s some crazy for 1942.
Kind of interesting to see a design altitude of 45K when that’s too high for anything other than a pressurized cabin or pressure suit. An Oxygen mask won’t give you enough oxygen even if it feeds you pure oxygen. The partial pressure of oxygen is too low to keep you alive with just a mask above about 40K.
The Welkin has a pressurized cabin.
… and high-altitude suits.
