Bring the HEAT
XBradTC's thoughts… deep thoughts.
No cheating. Google doesn’t count.
Blohm & Voss 222 Wiking.
Looks like an UK Short Sunderland (S.25) to me. As a skimmer, I await abuse from the winged sungods naval aviators and historians.
Hmm, my strike text Html code on winged sungods didn’t show.
I’m going to guess a German bird; it doesn’t look like anything the Brits, the US or the Japanese flew.
I think it is a Bv-238 not a Bv-222. I kinda knew what it was but had to check to see if you were hiding the outboard engines.
The only reason that I sorta knew what it was, was because I was looking for Martin Mars info the other day and the next thing you know, I was wiki wandering.
Yep, a BV 238. The inverted inlines with the chin radiator cowl was the giveaway.
I stand corrected!
B&V and if you don’t look at the tail empennage looks a bit like a Martin Mariner. Think it was powered by diesel engines (the Blohm & Voss).
