I had a tour of the “Scoop” back in 1988. Well, the forward half. While the Navy is perfectly happy to show off its nuclear submarines, the tour doesn’t extend aft to the engineering spaces. Wander along the missile tubes and the missile fire control panel? Fine. Hang out in the torpedo room? No problem! Poke your head into Sonar? Have at it. But stay out of the reactor spaces.
We don’t trust you to not walk away with our duct tape.
Prolly half the nuke training program was delivered by Red Green.
We’re nukes, but we can change, if we have too, I guess.
QM! +2 for the Red Green reference.
I couldn’t resist one Jeff mentioned Duct Tape. Or is that Duck Tape. Not sure 😀
If the women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
Also, my last XO when I was in the Navy looked JUST like Harold. Even the glasses were the same.
