A Navy jet has crashed near a major road in Virginia Beach, an official with the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to Fox News.
The two pilots are believed to have ejected safely from the jet, an FA-18 Superhornet, the official said. The plane crashed in a residential area near an apartment complex, according to local media reports. There is no word on injuries.

This is not good, and it looks terrible on television. Multiple structures hit, and quite possibly two lost pilots, not to mention the possiblity of casualties on the ground. Let’s pray for a few miracles.

Jet was a legacy Hornet (F/A-18D) from my daughter’s squadron VFA-106. Daughter was not flying today, lot’s of phone traffic in the family today. Even my son-in-law Big Time checked in from the Big “E”. Not good, not good. Prayers for all involved…
