  1. Let’s see…
Thousands upon thousands of chronicled and unchronicled deeds of bravery, selflessness, restraint, forbearance, and humanity in two wars, balanced by the punishable conduct of literally a handful of individuals makes our Commander in Chief “generally proud” of us?

So, can I conclude that literally one or two successes mixed with hundreds and thousands of slights, insults, bumbling policies, political grandstanding, and disrespect for our uniforms and our flag should make us “generally disgusted” with the Commander in Chief?

    Fair is fair.

  2. URR, I’m not generally disgusted with the Obummer. The man’s maladminstration is a total Cluster. So, I guess you could me down as totally disgusted with the Obummer.

  3. You know, I’d be more concerned if he had trotted out Wellington’s quote. I mean, I know he believes at least the first – and most often remembered – part.

    1. The full quote is “The French system of conscription brings together a fair sample of all classes; ours is composed of the scum of the earth — the mere scum of the earth. It is only wonderful that we should be able to make so much out of them afterwards.” He has another one which describes the British soldier in more flattering terms, I just can’t remember it.
