The internet connection here has been awful all week. Data rates are in the toilet. Refreshing pages takes forever. It makes XBrad a grumpy bear.
It’s funny just how reliant we have become on what little more than a decade ago was just becoming widely available.
One of these days, Craig’s gonna wrap up his excellent series on the evolution of American artillery (and a foray into anti-tank guns, which will lead to my discussion of anti-tank doctrine). He’ll reference back to his excellent series on the evolution of tactical radios, and integrate that into a discussion of the benefits and challenges of establishing and maintaining wide-band information networks on the battlefield today and tomorrow.
If I’m this irked by not being able to download cute kitteh videos, just imagine what a pain losing connectivity on the battlefield is.
