Weasel Zippers – Please Keep Our U.S. Marine and U.S. Army Familes in Your Thoughts and Prayers

By now we all have heard about the rash of violent storms and tornadoes that struck the deep south yesterday. Especially hit was North Carolina. Both U.S. Army Base Fort Bragg and U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune were hit and sustained injuries and property damage. Milblogger This Ain’t Hell is reporting both bases were closed to non-essential personnel today.

Ouch. It’s tough enough being a young spouse of a service member, living on a tight budget, away from home and family, and with the strain of deployment ever present. Adding this to the mix just doesn’t help.

  1. My BIL was there for training. He is fine, but will be staying longer to help clean up and organize.

    I pray that not only everyone is ok, but that the gov’t expedites all aid as fast as possible.
