Libya: Blame Canada – By Daniel Foster – The Corner – National Review Online

TORONTO – A Canadian general will take over command of the NATO mission in Libya.

Canadian Defense Minister Peter MacKay said Friday that Lt. Gen. Charles Bouchard has been designated to lead the alliance’s military campaign in Libya.

Bouchard is stationed in Naples, Italy, at the Allied Joint Force Command.

Bouchard’s recent job was deputy commander of NORAD, reporting to an American general.

“He will be commander of the NATO operations, yet to be fully defined NATO operations,” MacKay said.

The bungling by Obama, the utter lack of leadership on the political front, and his inability to clearly state to the American people (he’s apparently in hiding today) just what is our desired end-state in Libya  have all lead to problems on the military front. To say that we are violating just about every tenet of military thought is something of an understatement.

Clauswitz just rolled over in his grave to as “WTF?”

  1. Operation Aimless Fury is an excellent name for it. This entire administration is quite aimless.
