  1. With regards to the .50. Seeing it with no lid on the can, and the box half gone, i suspect that the can has filled with dust and fouled up the links and brass throughout the can. My experience is that even when you keep the lid on and only partially opened, the first 15-20 rounds on top get gritty and cause a couple failures until you work your way past them and then the rest of the can rocks. That doesn’t seem to be the case here. I got to where I would have my gunner break off the first 20 rounds or so and link on a fresh portion of the belt if I had any concerns where we were going.
