I was gonna write a really ¬†long post about HIMARS, the High Mobility Rocket System, but frankly, I’m just dragging ass the last few days. The HIMARS is the “baby brother” of the M270 MLRS, which we’ve talked about before. ¬†Instead of being built on a Bradley chassis, it uses a truck chassis. And instead of two pods, the HIMARS only uses one. But it is much lighter, and easier to deploy.

In Afghanistan, it has pretty much exclusively fired the Guided rocket. I know Esli has watched one or two GMLRS shots in Iraq.

  1. Ahh, you are killing me. I tried to edit my stuff but haven’t figured it out yet. But GMLRs is an awesome capability, when not experiencing GPS software issues, which seems to be too often.
