The Battle of New Orleans

I loved, LOVED this song when I was a kid. And one of the regiments I served in earned its nickname “The Regulars” from this battle.

Thanks, Roamy.

Update: Well crap. Craig pointed out to me that I don’t even know my own unit  history. The Regulars earned that nickname up north, and weren’t at New Orleans. But if we’re nice to him, he’ll tell us about the 7th IN, the Cotton Balers…

  1. When I was at Fort Stewart the first time, our tank BN shared a building with either 2-7 or 3-7 IN. They played this song every morning on the BN command net, so I got to listen once a month or so when ever I had staff duty. No cool video, though.
