The Battle of New Orleans

I loved, LOVED this song when I was a kid. And one of the regiments I served in earned its nickname “The Regulars” from this battle.

Thanks, Roamy.

Update: Well crap. Craig pointed out to me that I don’t even know my own unit ┬áhistory. The Regulars earned that nickname up north, and weren’t at New Orleans. But if we’re nice to him, he’ll tell us about the 7th IN, the Cotton Balers…

  1. When I was at Fort Stewart the first time, our tank BN shared a building with either 2-7 or 3-7 IN. They played this song every morning on the BN command net, so I got to listen once a month or so when ever I had staff duty. No cool video, though.
