60 Minutes on Afghanistan

We’ve pretty much boycotted 60 Minutes since the disgraceful “National Guard Memos” fraud 60 Minutes II perpetrated in the run-up to the 2004 election.

But Lara Logan was embedded with US troops in Afghanistan, and does some worthwhile reporting.

This video aired Sunday night on 60 Minutes, but I seem to recall seeing it a few months ago.  Still, an interesting look at life on the ground for an infantry company in Afghanistan.

H/T: Big Dick (no, really)

  1. Sorry this is a little late. The real question is did Lara Logan destroy any marriages like the last time she was in Iraq sleeping with contractors?

I don’t have much use for her, after some of the crap I heard spew from her mouth about Iraq during the surge.

As good as this report may be I can get past her past…yuck.

  2. Outlaw, I’ve heard some of the stories. It would appear she’s a bit of a slut, if what some folks are saying is true. Still, I kind of tune out reporters, and listen to the troops in the segment.
